Rutgers wide-out Brandon Coleman pulled in an 86-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter from Chas Dodd after Iowa State (6-7) had sliced the lead to 20-13 to put the game away.

Their spiritual leader throughout this season, former defensive end, Eric LeGrand was calling the game on the radio side in the press box.  LeGrand who was paralyzed making a tackle during a game more than a year ago, has been doing color for the Rutgers radio station all season.

During the trophy ceremony, head coach Greg Schiano pointed toward the press box and said, “Hey Big E! Hey Big E!  This one’s for you, buddy.”

With the victory, Rutgers (9-4) improved their Bowl record under Schiano to 5-1.
