UPDATE: Chavez Denies Murder Accusations
(IDAHO FALLS) – The suspect accused of murdering an Idaho Falls man Christmas Day says he didn’t hurt anyone and was only trying to defend himself. Local News 8 reports that 21-year-old Joshua Cortez has been charged with second-degree murder for the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Buck Garner. Prosecutors say an investigation is still ongoing and the charges could change. Cortez remains held on a $750,000 bond.
