NBA? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1324435199188National Basketball Association(CHICAGO) — According to ESPN, the Chicago Bulls and guard Derrick Rose reached a new deal on Tuesday.  Rose agreed to a new five-year contract extension that is worth $94.8 million, a source told ESPN’s Ric Bucher.

The new deal means that Rose will be making 30 percent of the Bulls’ salary cap in 2012.  This is all due to the new collective bargaining agreement that was worked out during the NBA lockout.

Rose won last year’s MVP award after he averaged 25 points and 7.7 assists, leading his team to a 62-20 record and the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
