Sources: Jimmy Rollins Reaches 3-Year Deal with Phillies
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Philadelphia Phillies and free agent shortstop Jimmy Rollins have reached a three-year deal worth $33 million, according to a baseball source.
The contract also contains a vesting option for a fourth year according to the source.
On his personal twitter account, Rollins confirmed the deal by writing, “I see you all know by now. Gotta deal with me for 3 (4) more years!”
Rollins has been in the organization since 1996 when the Phillies selected him in the second round of the amateur draft.
