(SACRAMENTO) — According to the Sacramento Kings, their young center DeMarcus Cousins has demanded a trade.
Kings coach Paul Westphal excused Cousins from Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Hornets.
“DeMarcus Cousins has demanded to be traded,” Westphal said. “In the best interest of our team as we go forward, he has been directed by me, with the support of management, to stay home from the New Orleans game tonight.”
The 21 year old Cousins is in his second season with the Kings. This season, he is averaging 13 points and 11 rebounds per game.
