Judging from the names of the other tracks listed on the singer’s website — “This Depression,” “Easy Money,” and “Death to My Hometown” — Springsteen is once again wading in political waters and returning his focus to working-class issues.

The singer’s manager, Jon Landau, told Rolling Stone that the record contains “social overtones,” though it was mostly written before Occupy Wall Street and doesn’t address the movement directly. Springsteen does address economic issues, however. A source told The Hollywood Reporter that the singer, “feels it’s the angriest album he’s ever made.”

A longtime icon of liberal causes, Springsteen has been an outspoken supporter of President Obama, as well as Sen. John Kerry during his failed bid for president. He also famously criticized President Ronald Reagan for using his name and song “Born in the U.S.A.” to rally Republican voters in 1980.

Springsteen begins touring with the E Street Band May 13 in Seville, Spain. The first leg of the tour was recently announced and includes 31 shows in 26 European cities. Dates in the U.S. have not yet been solidified. This is the singer’s first tour since the death of saxophonist Clarence “Big Man” Clemons, who died last June from a massive stroke.
