BYU-I Student Leads Failed Effort to Pull Plug on Modern Family
Published at (REXBURG) – An anti-profanity crusader in Rexburg tried his “darndest” to pull the plug on ABC’s “Modern Family” this week. 18-year-old McKay Hatch launched the No Cussing Club in 2007, and was horrified when he heard Modern Family was airing an episode about a cursing toddler. The BYU-Idaho student then launched a campaign to ask ABC to drop the episode, saying the network should set a better example. The episode, which aired last night in light of Hatch’s protests, said the word “fudge” as a substitute for the F-word, and was bleeped for dramatic effect.
