(NEW YORK) — So far this season, things aren’t going quite as planned for the New York Knicks. Even though they’re playing much better defense this season, the team is struggling to remain over .500 in large part due to the offense and early injuries. Forward Carmelo Anthony thinks that the team just needs to enjoy themselves more.
“I think everybody needs to relax out there, just play basketball,” Anthony said. “At the end of the day, it looks like we’re not having fun out there. And when your not having fun out there on the basketball court, it makes everything that much tougher.”
Anthony, who is nursing a sore right ankle, has still been carrying the load for the Knicks offense as he is fourth in the NBA in scoring average (25.5 points per game), but overall the Knicks are in the bottom half of the NBA in overall points per game, while their defense is surprisingly in the top half of the NBA.
