(BOSTON) — Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said in an email to ESPN.com’s Pierre LeBrun, that he is not trading all-star goaltender Tim Thomas.
Thomas has come under fire recently for declining an invitation to the White House. The invitation was given to him and his teammates for winning the Stanley Cup.
Thomas was one a key component in the Bruins winning the cup, saving 94 percent of the shots he faced while posting a 1.98 goals against average.
So far this season, Thomas has 20 wins with .933 save percentage and a 2.12 goals against average in 31 games.
Thomas was also the winning goalie for Team Chara in Sunday’s All-Star Game.
