(IDAHO FALLS) – The U.S. Department of Energy is celebrating a major milestone at the Idaho National Laboratory. KIDK reports that last month marked 20 years since the start of cleanup efforts at the site. Two decades of work have removed radioactive and contaminated soil, nuclear waste, and removed three nuclear reactors. Officials with the Idaho Cleanup Project say that the bulk of the remaining work should wrap up around 2020.
