NFL? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1327699542274National Football League(MIAMI) — New Miami Dolphin’s head coach Joe Philbin is filling his biggest openings on his coaching staff in speedy fashion. According to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, the team has hired former Texas A&M head coach Mike Sherman to become their new defensive coordinator. Miami has also hired Kevin Coyle to become their new offensive coordinator.

Sherman and Philbin have a history together that extends outside of the NFL. Sherman taught Philbin in prep school. The two also worked together when Sherman was the head coach for the Green Bay Packers and Philbin was an assistant coach. Since Philbin has stated that he won’t be calling plays on game day, Sherman can aid him with that.

Meanwhile, Coyle was previously the secondary coach for the Cincinnati Bengals. He had been part of the Bengals coaching staff for the past nine seasons. Even though Coyle has 35 years of coaching experience, this will be his first coordinator job at the NFL level.
