(BOSTON) — The Boston Celtics haven’t played very well this season. That is just one of the reasons that makes the C’s ability to hold the Orlando Magic to a franchise worst 56 points during an 87-56 victory so surprising.
Boston was also playing without starters Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo and three bench players. That is when you need your captain to step up, and Paul Pierce did, scoring 19 points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out seven assists in the victory.
The Magic will get a chance to exact some revenge on the Celtics, when they face off again on Thursday, in Orlando.
