Is Katy Perry or Russell Brand Moving Out?

Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Looks like Katy Perry and her former husband Russell Brand really are splitting up — US Weekly magazine reports that moving vans were spotted Wednesday outside the couple’s Los Angeles home. They bought the seven-bedroom home in June for $6.5 million, reports the magazine.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl as to the “real” reason the two stars decided to end their 14-month marriage. A source tells US Weekly that Brand “blindsided” Perry when he filed for divorce, because, according to the source, “The plan was for Katy and Russell to have the holidays apart, then see if they wanted to go through with a separation.”
In addition, a source tells the New York Daily News that the romance was doomed from the start, as the now-sober Brand, “threatened to call off the wedding more than once” because he couldn’t deal with Perry’s “hard-partying ways.” The source also says that Perry was the jealous type, and was always fighting with Brand over “other women.”
Any real insight into the true nature of the split, however, might have to wait until Perry’s next album — as she’s done many times before, she may dissect the relationship in her songs.
