(LOS ANGELES) — After losing to the Chicago Bulls at home on Christmas Day, the Los Angeles Lakers have now won seven straight at home after they took care of the Phoenix Suns 99-83 on Tuesday.
Lakers guard Kobe Bryant scored a season high of 48 points in the victory.
“I don’t like them, it’s plain and simple,” said Bryant of the Suns’ team. “They used to whoop us pretty good and used to let us know about it. I will not forget that.”
This was Bryant’s fifth straight game with 25 or more. Lakers center Pau Gasol chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.
The Lakers are now 7-4 and in first place in the Pacific.
