(DALLAS) — The Dallas Mavericks (11-8) finally got their 2011 NBA Championship rings and then decided to take the second-half off against the Minnesota Timberwolves (11-8) on Wednesday night.
Minnesota’s $60 million man Kevin Love contributed 31 points and 10 rebounds after getting a four-year contract extension with the team earlier Wednesday.
“The game turned at the end of the first half,” Carlisle said. “We lost some concentration. … Look, we didn’t deserve to win, and frankly, after that period at the end of the second quarter, we really didn’t compete at any kind of level at all.”
Minnesota’s rookie sensation Ricky Rubio chipped in 17 points and 12 assists in the win.
