The America’s Got Talent host and husband of Mariah Carey was released over the weekend from the Los Angeles-area hospital where he had been treated since last Thursday after being transferred there from Aspen.

The couple, married since 2008, had been vacationing in the ski resort town over the holidays with their infant twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

“He is resting and recovering at home and would like to thank everyone who has expressed concern, well wishes and prayers,” the actor’s rep, Tracy Nguyen, said in a statement released Monday evening.

Carey made headlines last Wednesday when she tweeted that Cannon had been hospitalized: “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure,” along with a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed with Cannon.

Carey and Cannon have both relied on Twitter to keep fans updated on Cannon’s condition, but have yet to disclose his exact ailment.  It is known that Cannon underwent a procedure on Friday that did not require the actor to be sedated.
