Producers Guild Announces 2011 Award Nominees

GETTY E 010412 PGA?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1325675202421David Livingston/WireImage(BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.) — In fewer than three weeks, ten films will contend for the top prize at the Producers Guild of America Awards. Nominees were announced Tuesday.

The films nominated for the top motion picture prize are The Artist, Bridesmaids, The Descendants, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Help, Hugo, The Ides Of March, Midnight In Paris, Moneyball and War Horse.

The PGA also announced five nominees for its animated motion picture category: The Adventures Of Tintin, Cars 2, Kung Fu Panda 2, Puss In Boots and Rango.

The PGA previously announced nominees in the major TV categories, including top TV comedy series and top TV drama series.

Steven Spielberg, who directed The Adventures of Tintin and War Horse, will receive a special achievement honor at the PGA Awards, which will be held in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Jan. 21.
