(FOXBOROUGH, MA) — Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will return to the Ravens for his 17th NFL season.
Lewis barely had time to wipe the sweat from his forehead after his team’s 23-20 loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game, before he declared he was staying.
“Is this my last time as a Raven? Absolutely not,” Lewis said while addressing reporters in the locker room. “Let me answer that question before somebody asks me. Absolutely not. It’s just too much. Life offers too much. Every time you step on this field, it’s a true blessing.”
Lewis, who will turn 37 this year, had 95 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 interception and 7 forced fumbles this season.
