Report: Braun to Accept MVP Award, Give Speech
Published at(NEW YORK) — Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun, winner of the 2011 National League MVP award, will accept the award on Saturday and give a speech at the Baseball Writers’ Association of America’s annual awards dinner, according to The New York Times.
Braun is facing a 50 game suspension after it was revealed in December he had failed a performance-enhancing drug test. He is appealing the suspension. Braun had a stellar season in 2011, hitting .332 with 33 home runs and 111 RBI.
