Six U.S. Troops Killed in Afghanistan Helicopter Crash

Purestock/ThinkstockUPDATE: All six NATO troops who were killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan Thursday were Americans, a defense official confirms. They are believed to be Marines.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash in Afghanistan’s Helmand province. A statement from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) reports no apparent enemy activity in the area at the time the aircraft went down, although Taliban sources are taking credit for the incident.
In accordance with ISAF policy, the identification information of the six killed aboard the downed aircraft is not available.
