(CLEVELAND) — Rashard Mendenhall will have a MRI on his right knee to determine if he tore his ACL, according to a source of ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Mendenhall injured his knee during the Steelers 13-9 win over the Browns Sunday.
“It’s not good, of course, when a guy goes down in open grass and is not touched by anyone,” coach Mike Tomlin said. “Experience tells me that, in general, that’s not good.”
Mendanhall was hurt in the first quarter of the game and taken to the locker room for tests. He never went back into the game and was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
The fourth year running back has rushed for 928 yards this season.
