State Treasurer Criticized for Gas Card Use

(BOISE) – Idaho State Treasurer Ron Crane is getting flak for allegedly using a state credit card to buy fuel for his personal vehicle. Auditors reviewing the financial records of Crane’s office have forwarded their preliminary findings to Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor. The prosecutor will determine whether Crane’s actions constitute a criminal offense. Crane says he’s only used the gas card to purchase fuel for official business.
