Texas A&M Quarterback Tannehill Breaks Foot, Will Miss Senior Bowl
Published at(NEW YORK) — With quarterbacks such as USC’s Matt Barkley and Oklahoma’s Landry Jones deciding to stay in school for another year, Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill has an opportunity to establish himself as a top quarterback prospect. He just won’t be able to show his skills at the Senior Bowl.
According to Tannehill’s agent, Pay Dye, his client broke his foot during training and as a result will be unable to showcase his skills at the annual Senior Bowl, which is an event where numerous NFL scouts and coaches attend. Tannehill broke a fifth metatarsal, which might require surgery.
Even if he does indeed have surgery and has to also miss the NFL scouting combine, he is still expected to throw in March before the draft takes place. ESPN has ranked Tannehill as the third best quarterback prospect in this year’s draft.
