‘The Help’ Earns Leading Eight Nods for NAACP Image Awards
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — The Help is the leading nominee for this year’s NAACP Image Awards, which celebrate outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts.
The Help, which revolves around African-American maids in 1960s Mississippi, earned eight nominations on Thursday, including in the outstanding motion picture category.
ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and the BET comedy The Game are the top TV nominees, with six nods apiece.

The 43rd NAACP Image Awards will air on NBC on Feb. 17.
