Truck Fire Halts I-15 Traffic

(MALAD) – A hay truck caught on fire on I-15 near the Malad Summit Sunday morning, starting a brush fire and halting traffic. Idaho State Police say the tractor trailer was headed southbound when it ignited near milepost 27. The truck and the hay were a complete loss. Bannock County fire crews say the fire also burned about an acre of brush nearby. No injuries were reported, though the cause of the fire is still unknown.
