Adele Denies She’s Taking Five-Year Break

Dan MacMedan/WireImage(NEW YORK) — In the new issue of Vogue magazine, when asked about her future, Adele responded, “I am f***ing off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy.”
British tabloids pounced on this quote as proof that Adele would be taking a five-year break from the music industry. But don’t get your knickers in a twist — Adele has now denied such a break on her official website.
“I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home and then I’m straight into the studio,” she writes. “BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!”
