Amare Stoudemire’s Brother Dies in Car Accident

New York Knicks/NBA(NEW YORK) — New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire’s brother died in car crash in Florida early Monday morning.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, 35-year old Hazell Stoudemire was driving north on U.S. 27 in Lake Wales, Florida when he hit the back of a tractor trailer at 1:42 a.m. ET. The report said Stoudemire was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed may have been a factor in the crash, investigators say.
The Knicks announced Amare is going to Florida, and won’t be with the team for their game against the Jazz.
