(BLACKFOOT) – Bingham County residents can now face tougher penalities if they violate the county’s dog ordinance. Local News 8 reports that citizens cannot have more than four dogs without a special permit, and owners can recieve a $35 fine for a dog at large on the first offense. Impounding fees for unlicensed dogs will also go up to $30. The four-dog limit does not apply to dogs used for hunting or cattle. The laws are expected to go into effect by the end of the week.
