NBA? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1328295102281National Basketball Association(LOS ANGELES) — Realizing it may be hard to top dunking over a car, Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin will not be defending his NBA All-Star Dunk Contest crown.

“As of right now I don’t plan on being on it,” Griffin told ESPNLosAngeles.com. “Those dunk contests aren’t my thing, I said that last year. There’s a lot of guys that can put on a great show and do some good stuff.”

“Last year was kind of hectic and it kind of made it enjoyable,” Griffin said referring to the All-Star Game being held in Los Angeles last year. “So this year, we’ll see what will happen, but I will try to tone it down a bit and get a break instead of being busy.”

In last year’s dunk contest, Griffin put on a show in front of the Los Angeles crowd with a number of eye-popping slams. The most memorable one was his last though, as he jumped over the hood of KIA, and sealed his victory.
