According to the Des Moines Register, the FBI claims Teresa Sullivan Hunt sent a letter to TLC’s parent company, Discovery Communications, in early January, demanding it either pull the plug on 19 Kids and Counting or pay her $10,000. According to an FBI affidavit, she allegedly said if Discovery did not comply with her demands, she would sell photos of a cast member, “in apparently intimate situations with a musician” who performs in Missouri.

Referring to 19 Kids and Counting parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Hunt’s alleged letter said they “claim to be so Christian so they keep popping out more babies to keep their ratings up. Meanwhile [two names redacted by the FBI] are doing the nasty behind closed doors.”

The cast member allegedly featured in the pictures has been identified by RadarOnline.com as 25-year-old Amy Duggar, a cousin of family patriarch Jim Bob Duggar. She denies allegations that she’s involved with the musician, telling the website, “It’s totally untrue. He is a longtime family friend who has always been supportive of my music career. He’s a good Christian and it’s upsetting that his generosity has been exploited like this.”

RadarOnline.com says Hunt offered to sell the website the pictures, which it describes as “merely harmless snaps.” The website says it had no knowledge of Hunt’s alleged blackmail scheme.
