(NEW YORK) — It looks like Manny Ramriez will in fact make his return to Major League Baseball.
Enrique Rojas of ESPNDeportes.com reports that the former all-star has some options for his return to the diamond. He is reportedly choosing between the Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, and Oakland Athletics. The Oakland Athletics are the only team who have publicly expressed interested in the 39-year old Ramirez.
Ramirez played in just five games last season for the Tampa Bay Rays after he was suspended 100 games by Major League Baseball for a second-career positive test for performance enhancing drugs. Instead of serving out his suspension, Ramirez decided that he’d rather retire. Major League Baseball has come out and said that Ramirez will only have to serve 50 games of his suspension if he is signed by a team this season.
