(BOISE) – The offices of Idaho lawmakers have been closed to the public in response to Occupy Boise protesters. House Speaker Lawrence Denney says he ordered the closure of representatives’ outer offices after one lawmaker’s ID card went missing. Denney and several other GOP leaders believe the protesters’ close contact with the Capitol presents a security risk. Denney has since pledged to reconsider a policy that would ban “Occupy” encampments on state-owned property. That proposal is currently under review in the Senate.
