Idaho Could Be Forced To Sell Storage Business

(BOISE) – Idaho’s endowment trust could soon be forced to sell a successful storage business that’s ignited criticism from both sides of the aisle. Lawmakers introduced a bill in the House Tuesday that would require the state to sell or lease all improvements on endowment-owned ground, including all business operations. Proponents argue that the state’s self-storage business in Boise is an unlawful competitor in the private sector.
