ISAF Helicopter Crashes in Eastern Afghanistan

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(KABUL, Afghanistan) — A helicopter operated by the International Security Assistance Force crashed Monday in eastern Afghanistan.
“There were no fatalities and the crew has been safely recovered to a nearby forward operating base,” the military said in a Monday press release. “The site has been secured and initial reports indicate there was no enemy activity in the area.”
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
