(NEW YORK) — Let the bidding begin: Kenyon Martin is officially free to sign anywhere in the NBA after he was cleared to return to the NBA two weeks ahead of schedule.
Martin had been playing with the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in China, but reached a buyout agreement on December 21st of last year.
He originally wasn’t supposed to be able to become a free agent until Febuary 15th, when his club’s season ended, but the International Basketball Federation cleared him to return to the NBA two weeks early.
Potential suitors for the the 34-year old power forward include Miami, Atlanta, San Antonio, New York, the Lakers and the Clippers.
