(NORWALK, Calif.) — Madonna can now rest easy — her stalker is back in jail.
Robert Dewey Hoskins, a 54-year-old man who served time in prison after he was convicted of stalking Madonna, escaped from Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, Calif., on Feb. 3, but has since been captured. Law enforcement officials apprehended Hoskins not far from the facility Friday around 9 a.m. and transported him back there.
Hoskins, who police described as “highly psychotic when not taking his medication,” was convicted in 1996 of stalking and threatening to kill Madonna. He served 10 years in prison. He was placed in the mental hospital last year.
