North Korea Agrees to Halt Nuclear Work
Published at(WASHINGTON) — After discussions in China, North Korea has told the United States it will impose a moratorium on missile tests and nuclear work and resume participation in the Six Party Talks. In exchange, the U.S. will deliver nearly a quarter of a million tons of food to the North Korean people.
North Korea’s decision to allow international nuclear inspectors back into the country is being welcomed by the Obama administration – though the U.S. remains skeptical of their intentions.
Washington calls this important, if limited progress in eliminating North Korea’s nuclear program.
