Oprah Winfrey, Others Star in ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s’ Post-Oscar Show
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Continuing the tradition, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired following the Oscars telecast.
The star-studded show began with a segment featuring Kimmel trying to buy an Oscar from Billy Crystal in a back alley. The nine-time host does sell him an Oscar in a duffel bag: Oscar The Grouch.
The show also featured a comedic trailer for the totally made-up Movie: The Movie, which starred a Hollywood who’s who, including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Tom Hanks and Samuel L. Jackson.
Oprah Winfrey also appeared on the show, and in one sketch, Kimmel pitched her ideas for new shows for her network OWN, including a series called Oprah Winfrey’s Book Club Fight Club.
Coldplay also appeared, performing “Charlie Brown.” The band also performed “Paradise,” but the tune was cut off by the end of the show.
