(LOS ANGELES) — Tuesday is the last day for Oscar voters to turn in their ballots for this Sunday’s ceremony. After it receives all the ballots, the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers will begin the process of counting the votes.
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Brad Oltmanns and Rick Rosas will be the only two people who will know who the winners are before the ceremony, though they will have a small staff help them count the ballots this week.
Oltmanns says, “The folks who are helping us only count a percentage of the ballots in each category, so at the end of the day, Rick and I are literally the only two people who know the Oscar winners in all 24 categories. And that is kept confidentially until the names are announced on stage on Feb. 26.”
ABC will air the Oscars live from Los Angeles.
