Panthers Acquire Wolski From Rangers
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Florida Panthers acquired forward Wojtek Wolski from the New York Rangers Saturday, in exchange for minor league defenseman Michael Vernace and a third round pick in the 2013 NHL draft.
The 26-year-old Wolski has played in just nine games for the Blueshirts this season, recording just three assists. He was out for 27 games earlier this season recovering from sports hernia surgery.
The Rangers acquired the left winger on Jan. 10, 2011, when they dealt defenseman Michal Rozsival to the Phoenix Coyotes.
