Patriots Release Wide Receiver Tiquan Underwood
Published at(INDIANAPOLIS) — On the eve of the Super Bowl, the New England Patriots released wide receiver Tiquan Underwood to make room for defensive lineman Alex Silvestro. The move was not discipline-based, according to ESPN.
Underwood will still receive $88,000 if the Patriots win the game or $44,000 if they lose. He will also be entitled to a Super Bowl ring if New England wins.
The third-year receiver played in six games during the regular season, finishing with three receptions for 30 yards.
