Pocatello Athlete Signs To Play For BYU

(POCATELLO, ID) Former Highland High School standout Quarterback, Taysom Hill will be playing for the BYU Cougars in the 2012 season. The former 2008 5A-All Idaho Player of the Year led Highland to the State Title his Senior year. He was the top recruit in the state of Idaho according to Rivals.com. His stats were amazing….he completed 166-of-258 passes (64.3 percent) and threw for 2,269 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior. He also rushed for 1,491 yards and 24 TDs, averaging 10.2 yards per carry and 124.3 rushing yards per game, and holds school single-season and career records for total offense. He originally committed to play at Stanford before leaving on an LDS Mission. He is a mid-year enrollee at BYU and will be in uniform for Spring Ball for Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall.
The verdict is out on whether or not Taysom will some day join the ranks of some of the best that have ever played for the Y….
