British media report that the British Airways flight the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were traveling on at the end of their humanitarian mission to Denmark in November was 200 feet from landing at London’s Heathrow Airport when the pilot had to make an emergency steep climb back into the air because another aircraft had not cleared the runway in time.

A British Airways official confirmed that the close call scare took place on Nov. 2 aboard the royals’ flight BA0821, but described the pilot’s maneuver as just a “standard procedure,” UK tabloid The People was first to report.

Neither Middleton, 30, William, 29, or the rest of the passengers aboard the 162 seat Airbus flight were hurt, but Middleton was left “deeply unsettled,” the magazine reports.

The newlyweds had been visiting Copenhagen on one of their first joint humanitarian trips abroad to visit a United Nations facility and learn more about the situation in drought-stricken East Africa.

Clarence House has not issued a comment on the plane incident.
