Jay LaPrete/Getty Images(CINCINNATI) — A pro-Rick Santorum super PAC has widened its reach, buying ad time in the Super Tuesday state of Ohio.

The “Red, White, and Blue Fund” made a $257,000 buy in the state for an ad that will run through Wednesday. The group has yet to release the new ad, although it is expected to do so on Friday.

The largest buys are in the Columbus and Cincinnati areas, with $53,500 spent in Columbus and $56,000 in Cincinnati.  There are smaller air purchases in Dayton and Toledo, and a Fox News buy in the Cleveland area.

The super PAC already has a negative ad running in Michigan that compares Mitt Romney to President Obama, and it also ran a positive one in the state.  With the two ads, the “Red, White, and Blue Fund” spent $1.3 million in Romney’s home state.

An NBC-Marist Michigan poll this week showed Romney with 37 percent support and Santorum with 35 percent in Michigan. The state votes on Tuesday, along with Arizona.
