Report: Giffords’ Aide Considers Run for Her Seat

Ron Barber, 66, ran Gabrielle Giffords’ office in Tucson and was seriously wounded at the consitituent event last January where Giffords was shot.

The congresswoman resigned from her House post two weeks ago.

A special election to fill Giffords’ open seat is set for June, with primaries scheduled for April.  The winner of the seat will hold it only until the next session of Congress begins next January.
