Ryan O’Neal’s Son Sentenced to Prison for Role in Car Crash
(LOS ANGELES) -- Ryan O'Neal's son Griffin O'Neal was sentenced Friday to 16 months in prison for his role in a car crash in San Diego County, California, last year that injured another driver, according to the Los Angeles Times. O'Neal, who's 47, had pleaded guilty to felony charges of driving under the influence and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Prosecutors said O'Neal had cocaine, marijuana and other drugs in his system when the crash occurred. He'd been on probation at the time for a 2007 drunken driving conviction.
O'Neal was arrested on New Year's Eve for alleged misdemeanor domestic battery in connection with an incident involving his wife.
