(NEW YORK) — New York Knicks rookie guard Iman Shumpert will not participate in this weekend’s All-Star Dunk Contest in Orlando.
Shumpert had been playing with a left knee injury but after last Sunday’s win over the Mavericks, the pain became too much to bear.
In an interview on ESPN 1050 New York’s The Michael Kay Show, Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni said Shumpert will be out until after the All-Star break.
Taking his place this weekend in the dunk contest will be Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans.
