(NEW YORK) — Jonah Hill puts a new spin on an old TV show when his latest movie, 21 Jump Street, opens Friday.
Inspired by the 1987-1991 series of the same name that starred Johnny Depp, Hill and Channing Tatum play immature cops who are transferred into a program in which they go undercover at a high school to investigate a drug ring.
The action-comedy co-stars Brie Larson, Ice Cube, Rob Riggle and Nick Offerman. It also features appearances by Depp and another 21 Jump Street original cast member, Holly Robinson Peete.
21 Jump Street, the only film debuting in wide release this weekend, is rated R.
