The magnitude 6.0 quake hit Tuesday just around dinner time in the same area devastated by last year’s disaster.

While tsunami waves never threatened the northeast coast this time, it rattled plenty of nerves — including those of American soccer goalie Hope Solo.

“All of a sudden I felt like I was about to pass out. I was getting faint and I felt like I was getting dizzy. And then I looked down at my feet and I realized the whole ground was just moving and everybody started to scream at that point and freak out.”

Solo and members of the U.S. Women’s World Cup Soccer Team were in Sendai, hosting a clinic for victims of last year’s catastrophic earthquake.

The magnitude 9.0 quake last year triggered a massive tsunami, killing nearly 20,000 people. Japan has been rattled by thousands of tremors over the last year.

No one was reported injured in Tuesday’s earthquake.
