(LOS ANGELES) — Somebody hit a clutch shot for the Lakers and it wasn’t Kobe Bryant. With 15.5 seconds left in a one point game, the Los Angeles Lakers Andrew Bynum hit a hook shot over Celtics’ Kevin Garnett, solidifying the Lakers (25-16) 97-94 victory over the Boston Celtics (21-19).
“It was big for him because that was the first time we’ve ever trusted him in that situation,” teammate Kobe Bryant said. “He was excited to be in that position…It was a good moment.”
Bynum finished the game with 20 points and 14 boards.
The Lakers don’t play again until Tuesday when they take on the Grizzlies in Memphis.
